Minister of Health Launches Sunfert IVF

Sunfert IVF, an international fertility centre located within Sunway Medical Centre (SunMed), was recently launched by Malaysia’s Minister of Health, YB Dato’ Sri Liow Tiong Lai who signed a plaque commemorating the event.

The launch was held at the Swan Convention Centre, Sunway Medical Centre and included a tour of Sunfert IVF’s facilities for guests in attendance who included Tan Sri Dato’ Seri Dr. Jeffrey Cheah, Founder and Chairman, Sunway Group, Mr. Lee Weng Keng, Chief Executive Officer, Education & Healthcare Division, Sunway Group, Mr. Leo Tan Yit Chong, Member of the Board of Directors, Sunway Medical Centre, Dato' Dr. Charles David, Medical Director & Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon, Sunway Medical Centre and Datuk Razman M Hashim, Deputy Chairman, Sunway Berhad.

Located within SunMed, Sunfert IVF is one of Malaysia's fastest growing one-stop fertility centres. Since its inception in November 2009, Sunfert IVF has helped couples from both Malaysia and abroad conceive, and has already seen many successes, with the first IVF conceived twins from Indonesia, Sydney and Disney Wijaya, born on 10 October 2010.

Equipped with the latest state-of-the-art equipment, Sunfert IVF offers a complete range of fertility services, investigation and treatments including Intrauterine Insemination (IUI), In-Vitro Fertilization (IVF), Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI), Laser Assisted Hatching, sperm and egg donation and freezing programmes as well as laparoscopic keyhole surgery.
