“TAFF makes you tough” is the tagline for the Tengku Ampuan Fertility Foundation, a foundation that is the first in the world that assists childless couples who are not able to afford IVF treatments in Malaysia. It was founded by none other than Pahang’s crown princess, Tunku Azizah Aminah Maimunah Sultan Iskandar and through her personal experience and after 16 failed fertility treatments that she became a mother. Couples that cannot afford fertility treatments may benefit from TAFF as its primary objective is to help infertile couples from the lower income group enroll in an IVF treatment. Fertility treatments administered through TAFF are fully sponsored by the foundation and are open to all Malaysian couples and with a joint household income of not more than RM4,000 per month. TAFF selected couples must undergo fertility treatments at fertility centres recognized by TAFF.
