HypnoFertility^® ~ Where All Possibilities Begins Here

What is HypnoFertility^® you may ask. Briefly, HypnoFertility means positive change, transforming the fear and frustration you are feeling to achieve the relaxation and confidence necessary for a calm, peaceful and viable pregnancy.

For the first time in Malaysia, we are introducing HypnoFertility^®, it being developed by National Guild Hypnotists Board’s certified Hypnotherapist and Instructor Lynsi Eastburn in the United Stated of America. This programme helps women to conceive naturally and also provides hypnotherapeutic support to women undergoing IVF treatments, which supports mind and/or body during the entire fertility process for optimal results. HypnoFertility^® had helped countless couples in the USA and in the UK.

The therapy plans are individually tailored and is drawn up based on the information given during the first consultation.  The sessions will be conducted by Mr. CT Ong (Malaysia’s 1^st HypnoFertility^® practitioner) whom had undergone training with Lynsi Eastburn herself.

A research conducted by Professor Eliahu Levitas, he had proved that hypnosis can double the success of IVF treatment. His study had shown that of the 185 women, 28% of women who had hypnosis during embryo transfer were successful compared to 14% who did not get hypnotized. This study was also presented in July 2004 by Levitas to the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology conference in Berlin.

New Year with a Bang!

Sunfert has finally opened its doors and is very eager to assist those who have difficulty in conceiving.  We are very thrilled that our state-of-the-art facility was finished in time to welcome in the New Year. Sunfert Open Day

Hear ye, hear ye, Sunfert is having the once-a-month exclusive visits to the facility. Not only you will get to see our humble residence but experience the comfort of our Recovery Area where our clients will get to rest after procedures until they can be up and about. During these visits, you will be served some light refreshments and have a chance to talk to our Fertility Consultant and the rest of the staffs. It is time to let our hair down, enjoy the evening with laughter and most of all you get to go home with lots of information in your hands.

Get to Know the IVF Laboratory

The laboratory is also known as the honeymoon joint because this is the place where the male and female gametes meet, fall in love and make a baby. Our laboratory is well-equipped and a good air quality system has been invested to provide a conducive environment for baby-making.

Lots of effort had been made to make the correct decision when purchasing equipments. Here at Sunfert, we employ low oxygen concentration when culturing embryos. There have been a lot of research and findings that support low oxygen concentration could enhance embryo and blastocyst development. Due to embryo’s primitive physiological characteristics, it does not need high oxygen concentration (which is 20% in atmospheric level) like humans to grow. In contrary, the ideal oxygen concentration that it requires is about 5% in the incubator. In the natural process, the embryo travels through the fallopian tube and finally settles down in the uterus. This journey experiences a gradual decrease of oxygen concentration, the uterus being the lowest. To achieve such low oxygen levels in the incubators, Sunfert has also invested a gas manifold system that ensures the correct gas concentration that is being purged into the incubators.

Our centre (Operating Theatre & IVF Laboratory) possesses a separate HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) system so that we can regulate temperature and humidity closely. HVAC systems can provide ventilation, reduce air infiltration and maintain pressure relationships between spaces. Air quality is crucial to the success of an ART treatment, therefore, our laboratories and the procedure room are under constant positive air pressure to remove air impurities. To remove tiny air borne particles (0.3µm in diameter) such as bacterial organisms, every laboratory has HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) filters installed. In order to eradicate the bacterial organisms trapped in the filters, we have also included UVC (Ultra Violet C) germicidal technology into our HVAC system, which potentially could improve success rates in an IVF centre. Additionally, our HEPA filters are combined with activated carbon filters which are very useful in eliminating VOC (Volatile Organic Compound) which can have adverse effects on embryo development. By achieving this level of air quality, we can then avoid having contaminants entering the incubators where the embryos are being cultured. The structure and furniture fittings of the IVF laboratories are based on using non-toxic materials to maintain a VOC-free environment.
