We have consistently achieved a pregnancy rate per fresh transfer of more than 50% across all age groups in the last 5 years. For women less than 35, the pregnancy rate is more than 65%.
The success rate of an IVF/ICSI treatment cycle depends on many factors, such as your age, years and causes of infertility and number of previously failed IVF treatments. However, factors such as the quality of the fertility specialists, embryologists, fertility nurses and the embryology laboratory can play a crucial role in increasing your chances to conceive.
Success rates also depend on the number of cycles a clinic performs and the complexity of cases accepted into the clinic.
Understanding how age and diagnosis cut-offs influence IVF success rate data is important for seeing the bigger picture.
Therefore, when comparing success rates between fertility centres, one has to be careful at interpreting the data, as some centres report results from patients below age of 35 or cumulative pregnancy rates, i.e. fresh plus frozen transfer.
We have simplified our data for your ease of understanding. As depicted in the graph above/below, the number of ART cycles (IVF/ICSI) and Frozen Transfer Cycles has grown tremendously since our inception in November 2009, making us one of the largest fertility centres in Malaysia. In 2014, we expect to perform in excess of 800 cycles. Due to the economy of scale, our patients will benefit from a more affordable cost of treatment as well as the accumulation of skills and experience of the entire team.
In terms of cumulative pregnancy rates, i.e. fresh transfer plus at least one frozen transfer, the pregnancy rate is in excess of 70%, because it is now known that the embryos are more likely to implant in the unstimulated cycle due to better endometrial (lining of the womb)receptivity.
In other words, once you have decided to have your fertility treatment with Sunfert, you have at least a one-in-two chance of getting pregnant. At Sunfert we will always do our best to help you achieve your dreams.
