Fun Fact:
Having walked six years of fertility challenges himself before becoming a parent, Ong brings lived experience to every couple he counsels. He joined Sunfert over 15 years ago, shortly after Dr Wong delivered his youngest child, and has since supported more than 2,000 patients through their IVF journey. During his Master’s research, he developed a structured 4-session stress-reduction therapy specifically for women undergoing IVF, with statistically proven results. His quiet conviction, that if you keep trying you will become a parent, is not borrowed wisdom. It is something he has witnessed repeating itself across 15 years and thousands of couples.

He is particularly passionate about helping patients see this journey not just as a medical challenge, but as a formative chapter — one that shapes who you become as a partner and as a parent. For Ong, that conviction is personal. The years of uncertainty forged a deeper marriage, a more intentional approach to raising children, and the deep satisfaction of seeing all three of them flourish. What felt like suffering at the time turned out to be the foundation of everything he holds most dear in life.

Outside the clinic, Ong is a self-taught maker with a passion for automation, spanning electronics and agentic AI systems, and hands-on fabrication including 3D printing. He brought both worlds together in building his own campervan and campertruck entirely from scratch, a project that drew on woodworking, metalwork, and plumbing. Purpose-built for the outdoors, they are now the vehicles for countless adventures shared with his wife and three children.
