Why We Introduce MindBody Fertility?

Couples facing fertility challenges often go through an emotional roller-coaster, spending months researching online, trying different remedies, supplements, or treatments on their own. This trial-and-error journey can quickly become overwhelming and stressful.

For those undergoing fertility treatment, the repeated cycle of hope and disappointment can be mentally draining and emotionally exhausting, especially for women. Over time, this emotional strain may impact overall wellbeing, disrupt hormonal balance, and add further challenges to the fertility journey which may affect your treatment outcome.

Therefore, we introduced the MindBody Fertility Programme and we are proud to be one of the pioneer fertility centres in Malaysia to integrate this holistic fertility support programme into our standard IVF care. This approach ensures that emotional wellbeing is supported alongside medical treatment.

Through this programme, we aim to help patients experience a calmer IVF journey, and stay motivated throughout their fertility treatment, as we believe that creating a positive treatment experience is essential for every patients’ wellbeing and reflects our patient-first approach to care.

What To Expect During The MindBody Fertility Session?

In this programme we will:

  • provide professional therapeutic care in a safe and confidential environment
  • teach practical techniques to help couples manage stress during fertility treatment
  • support patients in building emotional resilience throughout their fertility journey

Each session is held privately for each patient with our certified counsellor to ensure personalised guidance and support.

Is The MindBody Fertility Programme Free?

As part of our commitment to holistic fertility care, 4 complimentary sessions of our MindBody Fertility Programme are included in the majority of our fertility treatment packages to support our patients’ emotional wellbeing alongside their medical treatment.

We understand that our patients may wish to confirm their package details, and we are always happy to clarify whether their selected fertility treatment package includes the 4 complimentary MindBody Fertility sessions.

In addition, if further emotional support is needed before, during, or after completing an IVF cycle, we can also arrange additional sessions to ensure continuous support throughout the fertility journey.

The Biological Clock

This tool indicates:

  • Natural conception per month if you have no fertility issues
  • IVF success rate at the same age
  • When to seek help after months of unsuccessful attempts

If you are concerned at any stage – we recommend booking a doctor appointment or a free nurse consultation. The sooner you make a plan the better your chances in the long term.

When to seek advice early

  • If you have polycystic ovaries, endometriosis, or have been through a cancer diagnosis; we recommend you get in touch quickly so we can talk you through all your options and give you the greatest possible chance of success.
  • If you’re a single woman considering motherhood in the future; it’s best to approach us early and consider egg freezing as this can be an option for you while you have a higher ovarian reserve and healthier eggs.

Body Mass Index calculator

Being overweight or underweight can reduce fertility, so it is important to keep your body weight within the normal healthy range.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is an indication of your body weight and can be calculated by dividing weight by height. You should aim for a BMI of between 20 and 25, as this will optimise your chances of conception.

Woman’s BMI below 19

Even in these modern times, nature knows best. If a woman's BMI falls below 19, the body senses famine and ovulation is switched off to prevent the risk of having a baby with malnutrition. Excessive exercise can reduce body fat and increase muscle mass to a point where periods cease for the same reason. Risk of miscarriage is also increased in women with a low BMI.

Being underweight

If a woman's BMI falls below 19, the body senses famine and ovulation is switched off to prevent the risk of having a baby with malnutrition. Excessive exercise can reduce body fat and increase muscle mass to a point where periods cease for the same reason. Risk of miscarriage is also increased in women with a low BMI.

BMI’s greater than 30

This can reduce fertility by 50%. Pregnancy for women with a 30+ BMI is often associated with problems such as maternal diabetes, high blood pressure, big babies and increased risk of caesarean section.
