Fertility Nurse

To ensure that all patients gets all the information’s they need to have a smooth and pleasant experience as they go through the emotional roller coaster of their fertility treatments. To contribute to the delivery of high quality fertility nursing care to patients. To be an active member of the multidisciplinary care team.

Reports to: Lead Nurse and Nurse Director

Location: Sunfert Group (Except Seremban)

Duties:

  •  Assisting patients throughout their infertility journey.
  • Obtain detailed medical history, review medical records and perform appropriate physical examination.
  • Collaborate with physician in developing and implementing treatment plan appropriate to individual patient. 
  • Preparation for patients preparing to undergo In-Vitro Fertilization, and monitor subsequent cycles.
  • To identify, prepare and dispense medications and other medical products to patients based on prescriptions from doctors.
  • Responsible in maintaining the cleanliness and functionality of the medication area
  • Assisting in all ART Procedures (eg; Oocyte Pick up, Embryo Transfer. IUI, Surgical sperm extraction) and ensure all documentation is completed.
  • Assist in weekly stock takes for Medication and Consumables. To inform PIC when stock is low.
  • Perform role of liaison for clinical staff and supervising physician to ensure quality medical care and address issues for improvement.
  • Provide patient counseling and education throughout their fertility process.
  • Assist in teaching and guiding new trainees.
  • To ensure high safety and ethical practice standards.
  • Maintaining excellent patient care and feedback mechanism.
  • Organize, file, and maintain health information in a confidential manner.
  • Stay up to date and educated on the latest advances in reproductive technology
  • To participate and contribute to the marketing and expansion activities of the centre as the need arise.
  • To be in-charge or assist in certain project/s as and when directed by the management.
  • Assisting fellow colleagues and to perform any other duties as assigned by the Nursing Director or Lead Nurse.

Requirements:

  • Candidates must possess at least a recognized Diploma in Nursing.
  • Must be a state registered nurse (SRN) with the Malaysian Nursing Board.
  • Candidates with 2 - 3 years’ experience.
  • Self-motivated, patient oriented and proactive.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills and possesses a friendly disposition.
